TheNew Fairfield Rebels Defense battled to keep them in the game against the Pomperaug Panthers. The score was often close but in the end the lack of offense could not prevail. Service errors and free balls to the opponent resulted in 3 straight losses, 12-25, 13-25 and 13-25. 

Kelly Ford, Giovanna Langguth and Bridget Martin had a respectable game with a team total of 25 digs between them. The Rebels fell short when it came to attacks. The team earned an unimpressive 6 kills and 4 aces over 3 sets. 

Although the offense failed to show up, the team did begin to find success with serve receive and blocks from the front row. Future practices will hone in on the offensive shortcomings to create a more balanced team. As a team we are focusing on chemistry and confidence. Each opportunity to compete gives the team a chance to rely on each other and learn to fight for the win.
